original heavy metal band. They were founded by singer Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward in the late sixties and their impact on heavy rock in incalculable. Of course Ozzy was booted at end of the seventies and they had a successful run with Ronnie James Dio on vocals. Ozzy has since returned to the fold for reunions starting in the late nineties.
